The Monster Mondays Sweepstakes
OFFICIAL RULES
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY

ELIGIBILITY: Open to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia, 18 years of age or older. Void where prohibited by law. This promotion is governed by US law and is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. Employees of Monster ("Sponsor"), CBS, their parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising, promotion and fulfillment agencies and members of the immediate family or household of each are not eligible to participate.

PRIZES/ODDS: One (1) grand prize, a "Job in Television" - a day in the life of a CBS Executive. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. Prize is a trip for two (2) to Los Angeles, including round-trip, coach class airfare for two (2) (cost of airline tickets up to maximum $1,000 per person), standard accommodations (double occupancy) for three (3) nights, Thursday through Sunday (cost of accommodations up to maximum $250 per night), plus $2,000 spending money. Once in Los Angeles, the winner and guest will accompany a CBS Executive for the day and will do the following:

See a taping of a CBS show
Get behind the scenes on the set of a CBS show
Tour CBS Studio City
Possibly meet the cast of a CBS show
Possibly attend a meeting with the CBS Executive
Possibly eat lunch in the CBS Studio City employee cafeteria

All activities during the day are subject to the CBS Executive's schedule and are subject to change at any time throughout the day. ALL EXPENSES, TAXES AND COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH ACCEPTANCE AND USE OF THE PRIZE NOT SET FORTH IN THESE RULES ARE THE OBLIGATION OF THE WINNER. Winner and travel companion must have appropriate identification to travel within the US, and must travel at the same time and on the same itinerary, as specified by Sponsor in its sole discretion. No assignment, transfer or substitution of prize is permitted. If the winner chooses not to accept the grand prize, an alternate winner will be chosen. Approximate Retail Value ("ARV"): US $4,750. Actual value will vary depending on the winner's location. In the event that the winner lives in or within a close proximity to Los Angeles, Sponsor reserves the right to substitute an alternate method of transportation without awarding balance of costs. The balance of any amount short of the maximum to be spent on airline travel or hotel noted in these rules will not be awarded to winner. If for any reason the visit with the CBS executive cannot take place after travel is booked, the balance of the prize will be awarded in full satisfaction. Travel must be completed within one year of drawing.

ENTRY: Sweepstakes begins on 06/01/02 at 12:00:01 a.m. Eastern Time (ET) and ends on 07/31/02 at 11:59:59 p.m. ET ("Promotion Period"). There are two ways to enter: the Internet Method and the Mail-in Method. Internet Method: To enter via the Internet, access the promotional pages on the Monster website at http://cbspromo.monster.com. If you do not have a My Monster account, to receive an entry follow the instructions on the website and create a FREE My Monster account. Existing My Monster members can receive an entry by simply logging into their account through the promotional page. Limit one entry per person.
Mail-in method: To enter without creating a free My Monster account or logging into an existing account, you may hand print your name, address, telephone number and e-mail address (if applicable) on a 3" x 5" piece of paper and send it individually in a No. 10 envelope to Monster Mondays Sweepstakes, 5 Clock Tower Place, Suite 500, Maynard, MA 01754. Mail entries must be postmarked by 7/31/02 and received by 8/7/02. No photocopies, mechanical reproductions or automated entries permitted. Monster is not responsible for late, lost, misdirected, mutilated, stolen, ineligible or postage due entries or mail. All entries become property of Monster and will not be returned. Limit one entry per person, regardless of entry method.

DRAWING: The random drawing will take place on or about August 15, 2002, and the potential winner will be selected from all eligible entries received. The potential winner will be notified by email, telephone, overnight carrier, or regular mail within approximately three (3) days of the drawing. If Sponsor is unable to contact the potential winner after reasonable effort, or if potential winner fails to respond within three days of first attempted notification, prize may be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner.

GENERAL: The potential winner will be required to sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, a Liability Release, and, where legal, a Publicity Release, and winner's travel companion must sign and return a travel release, within ten (10) days of first attempted notification. In the event of noncompliance with these requirements, the potential winner may be disqualified and an alternate winner selected, at Sponsor's discretion. Acceptance of prize constitutes permission for Sponsor, CBS and their affiliates and related companies to use winner's name and likeness for advertising and promotional purposes without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law. By entering, you release and hold harmless Sponsor, CBS, their parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers and employees and agents from all liability or any injuries of any kind arising from or in connection with participation in this sweepstakes or acceptance, travel or use of any prize. By entering, you agree to abide by these official rules and the Sponsor's decisions regarding this Sweepstakes, which are final and binding in all respects. Sponsor awards the prize WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

INTERNET: If, for any reason, the Internet portion of this promotion is not capable of running as planned, whether due to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of Sponsor which corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Sweepstakes, Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Sweepstakes. In the event of termination, a random drawing to award the grand prize will be conducted from entries received up until the time of termination. Sponsor assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries. Sponsor is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail or entry to be received by Sponsor on account of technical problems, human error or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any web site, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to entrant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participation or downloading any materials in this Sweepstakes. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY A PERSON TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THIS SWEEPSTAKES IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. In the event of a dispute, entries will be declared made by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at time of entry. "Authorized account holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, on-line service provider or other organization (e.g., business, educational, institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address.
